1. GEORGE¹ HOOK was born Bet. 1759 - 1788 in Virginia or Ireland. He married REBECCA LAWSON Abt. 1808. She was born Abt. 1780.

I do not want to give the impression that all of this information listed is of my own and that I seem to think that I am some kind of authority. Let it be known here and now this is further from the truth then mere words could possible explain. All I have tried to do is share in this forum, what I have gotten from several sources. I never want to mislead anyone into thinking I am a know it all or the ultimate authority on any family information other than my own. I will take a chapter out of the book from a net friend and fellow researcher and make sure it is understood that the information is gathered from several sources. The information contained herein has come from public records, census reports, State records, files that I have searched from the local LDS center and online LDS service. The many generous helpers my brother, Gordon, My Aunt Marie, My Aunt Lela, Brad Skinner a cousin, Charlene Hook a fellow researcher whom without their help I could not have the information that I do. The people that have contacted me and those that I have contacted to share equally one from another. Let it be known that there are entries that are not proven and is put in this page only for further research, and the use of others for the purpose of finding their family members which is what I feel is the right thing to do. I have been told many times thank you for posting this information because, I have found a relative that I have been looking for a very long time. There are many fine people working the genealogy world now and I have met a lot of them, but once and awhile you run across those that like to horde the information that has been freely given to them and are upset when some post it for others. This is some of the information shared with me from researcher Charlene Hook, Whose Husband Robert died some time ago [this 4-7-99] but she continues digging because as she says she likes it and once it is your blood it's there for good. She must be right she has been doing this for 30 years she says. She was very helpful and I feel the documentation is correct because she is a stickler for it being so. I feel it is important to say that although I have the highest regard for Charlene's work and research, She does not like me and any researcher should know this. She, is known to have a difficult personality.

I also got some information from my Aunt Marie Bolerjack. I also got a little from my brother researcher Gordon Pritchett, but of course it goes without saying that I am the good looking Pritchett kid [joking] . Most of what I have here is just hard work on my own.

I also want to knowledge shared information with Roy Redman, And last but surely not least is my two new found cousin's Ken Taylor who has also sent information for us all to share, and I want to acknowledge the efforts of new found cousin Brian Hook of Sparks Nevada. The latest source of information comes from Brad Skinner a cousin on my Skinner side, he and his grandpa Lester Otis Skinner. All of those that use this information in future please acknowledge the hard work these mentioned researchers that have contributed to what is available here.
