| COWAN RESEARCH HUGH COWAN b. 1817 in Glasgow, Scotland came to America ca. 1818 with his parents JOSEPH COWAN & AGNES MILLER. Hugh is found in Illinois in 1840 married to CYNTHA ANN BURK. They had 7 known children, (Margaret Alisabeth, Sarah M., Mary Agnes, Jabez Reeves, William Nelson, Eliza Ann, Nancy Janice). Cyntha died in 1877. Hugh married again to SARAH ELIZABETH HENRY HUDDLESTON BRYANT on 25 Oct 1878 in Effingham Co., Illinois. They moved to Casa, Perry Co., Arkansas. One daughter, Syntha Evalyne, was born in Howell Co., Missouri on 01 Jan 1880 and one son, Hugh Milton, was born in Casa, Perry Co., Arkansas on 29 Mar 1882. Hugh died on 19 Apr 1884 in Perry Co., Arkansas at the age of 64. Elizabeth remarried to David Radley then moved to Arkansas and had one daughter, Florence. After David died Elizabeth lived with Florence and her husband George Duncan until her death ca. 1922-1925. Need information on JOSEPH COWAN & AGNES MILLER.
