I am researching the PROTTAS family from New London, Connecticut.My father(Frank)and grandfather(Herman)came from Novogrudok,Minsk Russia, now Belarus. They came to America on the vessel Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse arriving in New York on November 25th 1900. The ship left from Hamburg,Germany. I have search the index but have not found my grandfather,his wife and three son. I would greatly appreciated any help.Herman had a brother Isaac who came to New London in 1907. The frist PROTTAS who came to New London was Solomon PROTTAS, in 1888 from the Minsk area. In 1902 he moved to Seattle WA. I am reseaching the link(relationship) between Solomon and Herman. I am driving to New London in August 1997 to research for any information on the PROTTAS family. Any information or recommendation will be greatly appreciated. |
