| My current research focus is my paternal pedigree. As far as I can tell, all of the Proeglers currently in the US are all descendents of Dr. Carl Johann Jacob Proegler, born in Cologne February 15, 1837. He came to U.S. in 1860. Enlisted U.S.Army 27 jan 1865. Returned to Germany 1871. At that time, he was chief surgeon in charge of hospitals at Saarlouis and St. Johann, Saarbruecken. Dr. Carl Proegler's father was Christoph Friedrich Proegler, born in Germany in 1811. I have no other information on Christoph or his pediigree. Other names:Christiana M.M.F. Weinhart, born 1811, Germany;Ernest Schmidt, born July 18, 1806. Died July 28, 1880, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin;Stephanie Wachter. Born December 3, 1840;Henrietta Schmidt, born January 6, 1851, Milwaukee;George Henry Kammann, born est 1850-1870;Millicent Ann Newcomb, born est 1850-1870I'm willing to share any information that I have. |
