| I am primarily researching the line from Sylvester Prophet thru David Proffitt, David Proffitt Jr., David Smith Proffitt, William Horn Proffitt, James Henry Proffitt to Peyton Marlow Proffitt, but am interested in all descendents of Sylvester Prophet. I am looking for any stories, pictures, portraits, sketches, or documents concerning the line described above. I publish a newsletter entitled "The Proffitt Prophet 2002" for the descendents of Peyton Marlow Proffitt. It includes current news and information as well as old photos of the family. A reunion of the Peyton Marlow Proffitt family was held July 26-29, 2001, at the Kampground Of America located 10 miles south of Livingston, Montana off US Highway 89. Seventy-five family members attended. I published a 200+ page book on the reunion which included early as well as current pictures of family members. The book also contained stories and news articles about some of the more colorful members of the family. |
