I am trying to research the Prudhoe name. There is a Prudhoe Castle and a town caled Prudhoe but i am finding it difficult to fill in any blanks. I have had the name Prudhoe traced back to 1273 where there was a John Prudhomme (a variation of Prudhoe so im told) living in Devon. That information comes from the census of that time but im unsure how accurate that inforation is as that was researched by a third party. Like i said earlier i'm finding it hard to fill in the blanks between 1273 and the present day but with a bit of patiance and a lot f work im sure i will get there eventually.
