|I am looking for any information that you might have about the death of Richard Sterling Wells. He was a Merchant Seaman. He died at sea in 1947. He would have been 56. His body was buried in Madris, India. Any information you can share with me would be appreciated.
He was a steward onbard the USS Bucyrus Victory. It was with Isthman Steamship Lines
He resided in Beaumont, TX at his death.
He was married to Ethel Mae James Wells, had six children, four girls, two boys. He was born in Hardin County, TX. His ship sailed from the Texas Gulf Coast.
If you weren't there, maybe your father or your gradfather was. I know this is too much to hope for, but I would love to see some pictures of the crewmen that served.
I would like to be able to put to rest questions about the death of my grandfather.
