Celina M. Auger (daughter of Charles Auger and Sophia unk) was born January 30, 1874 in Bay City, Mighigan15, and died January 18, 1940 in Sheridan, Montana16. She married Alonzo L. Desonia on April 01, 1902 in Bay City, Mi16.
Notes for Celina M. Auger: According to her obit, she lived in Daleview, Montana and was considered one of Sheridan County's earliest settlers.
According to her obit, the following is an account of her travels from Michigan to Montana. "The first person they met was Frank Cusker, old-time resident of the Poplar community. The first leg of their journey from Poplar was made to the Henry Kirn ranch about 20 miles north of that settlement. They forded Poplar Creek twice, the story related, and the second crossing was made in darkness. The creek was swollen from melting snow and the ice was just going out. The pioneer lady was placed on a horse, which was saddled steed in the outfit, and in this manner crossed Poplar Creek."
Her funeral was held in Outlook, Montana at the Catholic Church. According to a reference, in 1990 the population of the villiage of Outlook in 1990 was only 109.
