These are descendants of Charles Mulchrone, of County Mayo, Ireland. He never left Ireland, but two of children did. His son, Charles Mulcrone married Ann Chambers, and brought their children to St. Ignace. His daughter, Catherine Mulchrone married David Murray and also came to St. Ignace. His son Michael did not come to the US, but Michael's sons John and Patrick did. Patrick Mulcrone was a butcher in Chicago and then came to St. Ignace.

Born in County Mayo, Michael Mulcrone, husband to Nellie, was the son of Charles and Ann Mulcrone and brother to John. Michael was sucessful with his business, Mulcrone Brothers, served as Postmaster of St. Ignace and in 1885, mayor.
