| To all those interested in the "Puhl" family. The information on all parties from the mid-1800's is from documents on hand, such as birth, death and marriage records, in family bibles, newspaper articles, and census records. Other information is as reported from internet sourses. The Lightfoot and Delamater families both arrived in the United States in the 1600's and as such bot families have been very well researched and reported. Information about the Lightfoot and Delamater families is deemed reliable as it was provided from published reports. As for the Delamater family it was a common practice to name the children after relatives and the families were, in the most part, very large. The end result was that there are many Delamaters with the same given name which has confused researchers over the years. Most of the Delamater information has been reviewed by Philip Delamater, a very well respected researcher of the Delamater history and published author. Most of the information on the Lightfoot decendants was taken from the Lightfoot Papers which is the base sourse for most historians and researchers. |
