This page is dedicated to the ancestors and descendents of Merle Homer Puhl, born in Quincy Il.on March 9, 1909. Merle died in Victorville, Ca. on March 30, 1995. Of special interest is any Puhl surname. Merles' father was William Homer Puhl of Quincy, Il. Born in Canton, Mo. in 1879. Merles' grandfather was John Peter Puhl of Canton, Mo. born in Keokuk, IA in 1847. We are also researching the Saeger and Waldhaus family of Quincy, Il. We will glady exchange information.

William is said to be middle row second from left. This is the only know picture of Merles dad taken in 1933 at the Rock Island Conservation Corp Camp.

Have no informaiton as to her age when this was taken except that it might have been taken when she was staying with Merle and Dorothy in Pasadena. If correct the time taken would be about 1952.

We all bowled in a league that year. It was a fun time. Our team came in 4th place in the Vegas sweeps. Jan won most improved bowler and Mike won the "Bowl Your way to Europe" Mens division for the mens representative to bowl in the finals in Washington DC where he finished in 5th place out of 200 participants. What did he win? Trophy's went down to 4th place and all Mike got was a Brunswick clock acknowledging his finish.
