I am just beginning my research to supplement the work done by some other members of the family. Most of my family immigrated from Germany (with one or two from Sweden and Denmark) in the mid-1800's and settled in the vicinity of eastern Nebraska. Surnames I have thus far are: Puls, Weise, Schumacher, Schlutter, Brizzi, Smith, Petersen, Rasmussen, Alm, Peterson, Wentz, Altendorff, Fisher, Jrimzberg, Lamotte, Langbane, Larson, and Zimmerman.
