After the war they settled in Pulaski where he became a school teacher near Cain Store(which is near Caintown Cem) He died
Mar 26, 1925 and is buried at Faubush Ky. in the Weddle Cem

The railroad made a big impact on the growth of Somerset, but where my ancestors lived they only went to town once a month if that often. You still have people today whom only go to town once a month even though its only a 20 minute drive from Ansel. So not much has changed in that neck of the woods :) Lets keep it that way! The 1st 2 train stations were destroyed by fire. I believe this was the 2cd one.

Ansel Store was owned and operated by Lonnie and Ollie Wilson. Sold after Lonnies death to Winnie Wilson, Lonnie's sister, and burnt down Feb 12, 1972. Ansel Store was built by Dave Correll in 1909. He sold the Store to J.D. Wilson my GGGrandfather. The Store was also the Ansel Post Office. The Post Office was closed by government in 1968.

You would often see Mary Belle Campbell in Old Ansel store. That was the gossip bench that people would gather and sit and tell the days news. If you look close theres a old wood burning stove in front of Mary and the counter is behind her. Ansel store was also the post office.
