James P. Hall (son of Arthur Hall and Sarah Sally Hall) was born March 18, 1831 in Estill County, Kentucky, and died January 10, 1912 in Estill County, Kentucky. He married Elvira Bowen on May 15, 1853 in Powell County, Kentucky19.
Notes for James P. Hall: In the Rogers Family Book Elvira Abney wrote a letter Jan 3 1975, she stated, "Grandpa James P. Hall, helped to build the Old Dripping Springs Union Churc h, My dad James Hall helped to hall those big logs when he was 18 years old. Elvira and Seay Abney established the New Dripping Springs Union Church in 1 948. Elvira Abney furnished all the materials Seay took offerings to hire th e church built. James Hall was quoted as saying " I am thankful that people have a church in."
