I have been building a family tree of the Putnam and the Bailey family. Bailey was the maiden name of my Mother, Pearl Putnam. I have traced the Putnam family back to 1829 as the birth date of my Grandfather George C. Putnam. George C. Putnam was born in New York and raised his family in and around Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Some last names in the Putnam and Bailey family are, Baker, Devlin, Putnam, Modglin, Riley, Bailey, Harrison, Oakes, Wolfe, and Staves. The Bailey family tracing goes back to the early 1800, and in the states of Kansas, Tennessee, and North Carolina. My wife Lola Marie Putnam, was born in Yakima, WA to Albert Purviance and Anita Broecher Walkenhauer. Her family tree has tracing back into the 1700's. Names associated with her family tree are; Purviance, Broecher, Walkenhauer, Collins, Bacon, Coates, Scouller, Steele, Toy, Lusby, and Zamboni. |
