He operated a tree farm and antique shop in Winchester, New Hampshire, where he has lived since 1936. For many years he was Chief of Police in Winchester and was member of the Masonic lodge and various veterans organizations there.
The funeral was held at the O'Connor Funeral Home, Parker Street, Winchester, New Hampshire. There was no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Haverhill Salvation Army.
