Silent Auction - a number of reunions
ago we had a wonderful auction of items brought by family members. There were canned goods, quilts, baskets of
goodies, knitting, sewing, and any number of items that had been personally
made with the Mammel name, or crest, or even photos of the brothers. The cost of putting on a reunion isn’t cheap
and in order to try to keep the costs as low as possible so all can attend, the
Silent Auction provides a way for those with more means, to be able to
contribute items and to put their hard earned dollars to work on the
continuation of the Mammel Reunion by bidding and buying. So put your mind to it and think of something
you can make, find in your home, or purchase, to contribute to the Silent
Auction - which will become a live action at the conclusion of the Saturday
German-style dinner.
Colour Coordinated clothes - It’s always fun to dress up so let’s
put on our family colours for the Saturday dinner - Red for Frederick, Blue for
Alfred, and Yellow for Samuel Prizes for
the best individual of each line, and for the best family group. Remember more is better! (Colour that is)
