He was born 1686 in Hausen, Canton Zurich, Switzerland, and died 26 Dec 1738 in Earl Twp., Lancaster co. Pennsylvania.

I have some difficulty with this line. Groff and Newman give Barbara's marriage date as about 1834 which is more likely than a marriage date when she was 12 years old. It is for a researcher to delve into the accuracy of this marriage and subsequent line of Eby descendants - Dawn Eby Quast 1998
A few months ago we had a discussion about the probability that Barbara Eby, daughter of Theodorus, married to Hans Heinrich (John Henry) Baer (Bare), was the real mother of Martin, John, George and Andrew. Your opinion was, that due to the late birth of Barbara Eby in 1706, as assumed in the Eby Report, her motherhood would be extremely improbable for birth dates of "her" sons in 1716 to 1722.
In the meantime Jane Best has published several articles in the Pennsylvania Mennonite Heritage journal (July and October 1998, January 1999) on the Bear/Bare family which seems to give a solution. As I wrote you already last year, John Henry Bare was married first to a Barbara Schenk (Shank), who died about 1732. The four sons were from that marriage. In 1728 she signed a deed together with her husband and (her brother) Michael Schenk in Lancaster Co., cited by the article of Jane Best. In 1734 John Henry Bare was married a second time to Barbara Eby without having further children.
But Jane Best also writes that Barbara Eby was from Theodorus's first wife. This could mean that her birth was some years earlier than assumed by the authors of the Eby Report.
