Notes for Capt. John Putnam:
John Putnam was admitted freeman in 1665. He was a man of decided opinions and took a prominent part in town and church affairs. He served in King Phillip's war; was commissioned lieutenant of the troop of horse, 7 October, 1678, and after 1687 is styled captain. He was deputy to the General Court several times between 1679 and 1692.

  Notes for Rebecca Towne:
Rebecca and Francis lived in Salem Town until the year 1678 when they moved to a large tract of land in Salem Villge, now called Danvers.

Rebecca Towne Nurse, and her sister Mary Towne Estes were hung as witches during the Salem Village witch hysteria of 1692. A third sister, Sarah, was condemned but managed to survive her ordeals and told the story of her siblings. She lost the site in one eye, suffered badly from malnutrition and died not too many years after her ordeal.

Baldwins about 1638. He was not a Freeplanter at Milford, since he was not
a member of the church, but did join later on 19 Mar 1648 (MC1). His home lot
was #13 on the map of 1646, containing 2 acres, 1 rod, 10 poles. He was among
the first settlers, and was a shoe maker by trade. Enumerated in the CT census
of 1670 as a resident of Milford.(MSD).
