At the time of the marriage Chester was living in Coalgate, Ward twp. Hocking county and Anne Eckels was living in Newtown, Ward twp. Hocking county, not far from Murray City Ohio. The house that Chester lived in, a log cabin, still stands in Coalgate where he lived and some of their children were born in that house. The house is currently lived in by the wife of Clarence Matheney (Isabella Waldie) , a relative of Ila Mitchell, the daughter of William and Olive Mitchell who married Walter Fiddle Matheney. Walter and Clarence were brothers.
