Looking for any relatives that belong to the John Roby Bryan family of Watauga Co., NC, also his father John Gilson Bryan, his father Battle Bryan and his father Lewis Bryan of Iredell Co., NC. Lewis was the son of Capt. John Bryan, who was the son of Morgan Bryan.
Also all connections to the Irish & European Brienne name which is the original spelling of the name.

I have added many allied families that intermarried into the Bryans of Watauga Co., NC. If you have up to date information on all of these families, please let me know. I'm sure there are mistakes, but I have tried to be as careful as possible.

I have shown the descentants of Engelbert de Brienne as a separate file until I can prove the lineage. I do not believe that Guy de Brienne b. abt.1202 and m. Jane de LaPole is the son of Alphonse de Brienne as many people have shown. The dates are inconsistent. Alphonse was the son of John de Brienne and Alfonsez Berengaria Leon,b. abt. 1193, they were not married until 1223 therefore, Alphonse would have been born about 1223 or later and could not possibly be this Guy de Brienne's father. I haven't proved it yet, but possibly he could be a descendant of Milon de Brienne's son Guy.

I also am looking for ancestors related to the Raczek, Pope, Winebarger and Pate names. I will gladly share any information with others.
