I am Researching the Buttel/Bittle/Biddle family, Andrew Biddle arrived in Philadelphia from HesseCassel Germany in 1752, on the ship Phoenix, he settled in Frederick County MD, to which he served in the American Revolutionary War as Lieutenant in charge of transporting supplies. He married Christina Cover, abt. 1766, whose father is Daniel Kober/Cover his family arrived from Germany on the ship Two Brothers in 1748. From that their children intermarried with the Todd family from England whose family arrived in the USA about 1747, and the Knight Family. These Familys are more predominant to the Biddles because there are many marriages through these lines. The Biddle Clan moved From Maryland to Pennsylvania and then on to Ohio where they settled, and started the growing of the family.
My husband's family RADER is also from Germany and his ancester starts with Casper Roeder/Rader b. 1732 there are many names to this file.
