List of Casualties in the 25th Alabama Regiment at the Battle of Murfreesboro up to the morning of the 3rd of January.
Above find lists as accurately as could be procured from the regiments on the battlefield. The wounded were taken from the battlefield immediately to the hospital and we have had no chance of seeing them since - hence the character of the wounds in most instances are not given. Several have already died.

History of the 25th Alabama Infantry Regiment
Letter to The Southern Advertiser
Troy, Pike County, Alabama
From R.W. Reeves, Company B
This document for personal use only!

Near Atlanta, Aug. 8, 1864
Mr. Editor: I send you a list of casualties in Co. B, 25th Ala. Reg., which you will please publish for the benefit of the friends of the killed and wounded.

Killed: W.J. Brunson, Joshua Andrews, T.J. Ward, G.E. Wise.

Wounded: R.W. Reeves, in head slight; B.R. Brunson, in hip leg and arm; R.M. Brunson, thigh broke; J. Cubstid, arm slight; G.W. Hall, in bowels, since dead; J.E. Holmes, in thigh; E. Nelson, in thigh; J.W. Ray, chin, severely; J.W. Moore, in arm; L.B. Johnson, breast slight; F.G. Underwood, head; N. Pick, leg; J.B. Moore, in leg.

The Company left the county under Capt. Curtis, the 1st day of September, 1861, and has participated in all the fights with Gen. Bragg's army from Shiloh. Yesterday the enemy shelled our pickets heavily and then threw a skirmish line forward, but they were soon repulsed. It is the fourth time they have tried our pickets on this part of the line. Everything is quiet today except an occasional shot from the enemy's artillery.

O.S. Co. B, 25th Ala. Regt.
