The Ralph lineage of my family can be traced back to Edward Ralph, born in 1802 in Sussex, England. The family tree includes the following surnames. Ralph, Ebel, Thompson, Markiel, Paine, and Payne. The Markiel's came from Poland, and according to family lore arrived in the US via Canada. I have so far been unable to obtain any information about ancesters or family in poland. The Ebel family arrived in the US from Eisenach, Germany. They settled in Pa, then later moved to Jamestown NY, where Julius Ebel owned his own piano factory. I am also having difficulty obtaining info about my German ancesters. Any assistance information would be greatly appreciated.
