This page will grow as my expertise grows. My family on all sides have been in North America since the 1600's. I have never found any reference to Elis Island. We are totally laced with Scotch-Irish blood.
There are so many avenues to search that the cross referencing that I do takes hours. I try very hard to make sure that all the information is valid.
I find it so interesting that I just can't leave the past alone. Several of the family do research but we all live very, very far apart. Our communication is usually thru e-mail.
I have traveled myself to many of the areas to do more research when I feel I have enough information to make the trip worth while. These trips are more fun than I can describe. I find out allot just talking to area people. Visiting the older parts of the towns where the old stores are, etc.. I find
such interesting information and usually become a friend to someone I never knew before! That in itself is a reward.
So as my adventures continue, I hope to write about them so my relatives who enjoy genealogy will have references if they wish to use them.
