My dad was Dennis Houston Rampey of Pickens County SC. He was a textile worker, gospel singer & Pianist, and was also corner of Pickens County for 12 years.His father was William John Rampey, and his mother was Nancy Jane Langley.His mother was one half Cherokee.Her father was Jesse Langley.Jesse left his family when she was a little girl and never returned.I would like to find out more about his history.My mother was Edna Ida Kelley.
My Dad died just prior to his 94th birthday in Easley, South Carolina.He was buried beside my mother in Hillcrest Memorial Cemetary near Pickens, South Carolina.He lived his entire life in Pickens County.
