Notes for SUSAN RANDALL: At an early age Susan left Vermillion County, Indiana and went to Diller, Nebraska. She was a seamstress there and never married. She left her estate (small amount) to Vermillion County, Indiana. It was not known why she left Indiana and never returned. (All information per Bob Randall). The 1850 Edgar County Illinois census lists Susan as 8 years old (thus born in 1841) and indicates she was born in Edgar Co IL. |

| iv. | SAMUEL RANDALL, b. 1841, Edgar Co IL45. |
|
Notes for SAMUEL RANDALL: Samuel belonged to the "Masons". At the top of his tombstone is an engraving of the "Masons" logo. The 1850 Edgar County Illinois Census lists Samuel as 9 years old and that he was born in Edgar Co, IL. If this is correct he was born in 1841. A plat map dated 1872 (Samuel would have been 31 years old) shows a Samuel Randall owning land in section 9 of Vermillion Township. The land is west of route 63 in what is now the "Newport Chemical Depot". It is just south of where the Vermillion Poor Farm was on the east side of route 63. It looks to be about 160 acres.
