Bio: September 26, 1884, A. J. Welborn and C. P. Welborn are listed as charter members of the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Brother Welborn was on the Presbytern and elected Moderator pro tem.
September 1885, elected messenger to Blue Mountain Baptist Association.
July 1886, acting as church clerk.
September 1886, elected messenger to Blue Mtn. Baptist Association.
May 1887, on Presbytern to ordain William Richardson as deacon.
September 1890, opened service with a prayer and was elected messenger to Blue Mtn. Baptist Association
January 1891, on committee to visit Brother Sherrill.
October 1892, preached.
August 1893, helped ordain 3 deacons.
September 1894, moderator pro tem of bussiness meeting and elected messenger to association.
December 1894, held service.

1883 Elder A. J. Welborn of Rocky Bayou Association was a visitor.
1884 Pleasant Grove Church becomes a member and A. J. Welborn was sent as messenger.
1886 A. J. Welborn was a messenger to the association, elected to a mission board, and preached one of the Saturday sermons. His name appears on the list of ordained ministers with St. James as his post office.
1890 A. J. Welborn pastor of Pleasant Grove Church.
