The Anderson L. Rash Family Home Page

I am researching the Rash family that came to Johnson/Hood County, Texas in aproximately 1854. They came to Texas from Rash, Alabama. They may have been in Tenessee prior to Alabama. Some of the Crockett family (David Crockett of Texas Alamo fame) may have traveled with them. Elizabeth Crockett, wife of David Crockett is buried in Texas' smallest state park at Acton, TX cemetery. My great grandfather was Samuel Allison Rash and was married to Mary Ann Allison before coming to TX.I would like information about the Rash family from earlier than the Rash, AL. years. (Added 3/27/97) I now know that S.A. Rashes father was Laxton Rash and Laxton's Father was William Rash, born about 1790 in Wilks Co., NC. His wife was a Laxton. I am looking for a link between William Rash and Daniel Rash who came to NC from DE. and any information on the Laxton woman and her family.
