All of the information on Alvin Kennedy Nichols and Sophronia Washburn prior to their arrival in Chippewa County in the 1850s has been obtained from other researchers. I am concentrating on the descendants of Charles Henry Nichols and his son, Charles K. Nichols-Edna Deihl (of Tipler, Wisconsin) Charles H. Nichols was born at Eagle Point, Chippewa County, Wisconsin in 1861, the youngest son of Alvin K. Nichols and Sophronia Washburn. Charles K. Nichols was born at Ruby, Wisconsin on Dec. 7, 1898.He married Edna Deihl at Ladysmith, WI on June 7, 1921.Edna Deihl is descended from the marriage of Jackson Mitchell Deihl-Anna Rooth (Hansdötter), who, with her parents and three siblings, immigrated from Sweden to South Dakota in 1883) Jackson Deihl and Anna Rooth were married at Black Hawk, S.D. on October 10, 1984. |
