I am researching ancestors and descendants of the following families. RASAR & PETERS (note variant spellings of RASAR) from Tennessee & North Carolina; LONG & THOMPSON from Blount County, Tennessee; WALTERS & BOXEL from Montreal, Quebec, Canada &/or Ontario, Canada; AINSWORTH & SMITH from South Carolina, Kentucky and Missouri; CLAYTON from New York and Michigan; RUSSELL & HENDRY from Scotland, Quebec CAN, Vermont, Wisconsin & Iowa.

All of the above families or their descendants, eventually arrived in Washington State where they lived, raised families, died and are buried.

RASAR & PETERS
[Wm] Daniel RAZOR b 1820 Carter Co, TN m Sarah PETERS 1849 in Carter Co, TN (b 1823 NC or TN). Would like to contact anyone with information on parents or siblings. Have information to share on son Peter RASAR who moved to Washington State in the late 1880s. Also interested in obtaining information on any other siblings of Peter b 1853 Carter Co, TN; and parents & siblings of Sarah PETERS.

Daniel RASOR served with the Union Army during the Civil War, and at the close of the Civil War many families migrated into Blount County and settled in "Happy Valley" along the Western slopes of the Chilhowee Mountains.

WALTERS and AINSWORTH
Families of William WALTERS and Mary BOXEL[L]of the Quebec & Ontario regions of Canada, migrated from Scotland. Their son,
William John WALTERS b 1858 Quebec, CAN m Ida Frances AINSWORTH 1895 in Skagit County, Washington State (b 1867 Fayette, Howard Co, MO). 1900 census indicates that William caame to the US in 1885. These are my grandparents and I have current information to share, but have been unable to locate parents or siblings on WALTERS line. Ida Frances AINSWORTH was daughter of Wilson Davis AINSWORTH and Mary Elizabeth SMITH (both born in Missouri). Both the AINSWORTH & SMITH families originated in North & South Carolina in the 1700s.

CLAYTON and RUSSELL

Would like to contact anyone with information on Daniel Clayton, parents and siblings are unknown. Willing to share information on this Russell line. Evaline's parents were James Hendry RUSSELL and Marian Elizabeth MC KEAND. Both Russell & McKeand families emigrated from Scotland thru Canada.
