Hello family and friends,
I have been unable to update and correct parts of our family tree, over the last few years and had little time to continue the extensive research needed to verify and add to the trees created here. Over the last few years I have been contacted a number of times from distant relatives with questions and corrections to the information posted here. My apologies for not updating the information posted here. Hopefully changes will be made soon to this website. (Maybe when I can retire from full time work)
It is with a heavy heart that I write that my father, Patrick Thomas Rauen passed away on Feb 7, 2005. I will always love him and he will be deeply missed by his eight children and many grandchildren.
This web page is now dedicated to him. I began this research in 2002 as a Christmas gift to Dad and my 7 Rauen siblings. The tree has really grown since publishing our first genealogy book.
The Rauen and Earley families on my dad's side were immigrants from Ireland and Germany to the midwest in the 1800s.
The Walker and the Holleys on my mothers side of the family were all pioneers who made their ways west over many generations till they reached California in the 1920s.
This is a work in progress. Many facts here are not yet verified by primary sources. Much is based on my family notes, interwiews, scrapbooks and other sources including family trees found on the internet. Any input, corrections or additions are appreciated.
Please read the file section on this web page below for an updated narritave of "OUR FAMILY STORY"
I am now searching in earnest for Rauen, Earley, Maurus, Bradley, Barrett, families on my father's side and Walker, Holley, Skipwith, Maddery, Clinton, Boone, Wilcoxin and Kirkpatrick families on my mothers' side.
