WILLIAM H. WILEY IS BURIED TUESDAY
William Harry Wiley, 73, died at 4 A.M. Sunday at the Prince Rest home, Valliant.
Born in Mineola, Tex., he came to McCurtain county from Arkansas.He made his home at Battiest many years.He was a member of the Missionary Baptist church.
Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Tuesday at Battiest cemetery with Rev. Lloyd Clark, Idabel, officiating.
Arrangements and burial were under direction of Coffey funeral home.
He is survived by two brothers, Arch Wiley, Canada, and Obe Wiley, Santa Rosa, Calif; four half-brothers, Bill Wiley, Bowie, Tex; Abe Wiley, Riverside, Calif; Jesse Wiley, Chico, Tex., and P.T. Wiley, Santa Rosa, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Maud Diemer, Pomona, Calif., and one half-sister, Mrs. Harry Winters, Pomona.

Found Harry's grave July 22, 2003
Hwy 259 N. to Battiest turn off (abt. 4 miles past Mt. Herman Store)In Battiest, turn left by the Post Office, Cemetery is at the top of the hill.Harry's grave is about 1/4 way down off the main rd on the left hand side.

I sent off for a copy of Harry's birth certificate 2 months ago.Today I received a refund check from The Texas Department of Health.They were not able to locate a Birth Certificate for William Harry Wiley.
