      3. Hannah J DIRRIM, born August 16, 1840 in Wayne Co, OH; died November 14, 1912 in Hamilton, Stueben Co, IN. She was the daughter of 6. William H DIRRIM and 7. Christianna HAUGHEY.

Notes for Isaac FIRESTONE:
In the Civil War he was in the 4th Army Corps and was engaged in the capture of Forts Henry and Donelson in the battles of Shiloh, Murfreesborough, Chickamauga, Lookout Mountain, Missionary Ridge and other engagements.

Isaac Firestone, Civil War Veteran Dies.
Isaac Firestone, died at the home of his son, George, at Cooney, Ohio, last Thrusday, after an illness of but a week or so. He was an old soldier, having been a member of the 44th Ind. He was been a resident of Hamilton since 1900, breaking up his home last spring since which time he has been making his home with his children. - Obituray- Isaac Firestone was born near Butler, Ind., March 7, 1837, and died at the residence of his son, Geo. S., in Williams county, OH, Feb 26, 1914, aged 76 years, 11 months and 21 days.
His early life was spend on his father's farm in DeKalb Co, IN.
In the spring of 1860 he was united in marriage with Hannah J. Dirrim.
On Sept. 23, 1861 he enlisted as a private in Co. F. 44th Ind.Regt., Ind. Vols, and served till discharged from the services of the U.S. Nov. 23, 1864. In the Civil War he was in the 4th Army Corjps and was engaged in the capture of Forts Henry and Donelson in the battles of Shiloh, Murfreesborough, Chickamauga, Lookout Mountain, Missionary Ridge and other engagements.
He was a member of the U.B. church in Ohio, for several years and a member of the M.E. church in Hamilton at the time of his demise.
In the spring of 1865 he went on his farm, in Franklin township, DeKalf Co, ID, where he remained until 1872, when he moved to Williams Co, OH. He remained a resident of Williams Co until 1900 when he moved to Hamilton, IN, where he lost his faithful companion, Nov. 14, 1912.
He leaves to mourn his demise, 3 sons and 4 daughter, Mrs E.S.Stickney, Mrs E.O.Headley, W.S. Firestone, G.S. & T.D. Firestone, Mrs Jacob Swinehart and Mrs Geo Mocherman and 3 brothers, Daniel, Benjamin and John and 4 sisters, Catherine, Amanda, Harriett and Sarah. ----

From Hannah J. Firestone
Hannah J. daughter of William H. and Christianna Dirrim, born in Wayne county, Ohio, Aug. 16, 1840, and departed this life, Nov. 14, 1912, aged 72 years, 2 months and 18 days.
At the age of 4 years she came with her parents to the old homestead two miles southeast of Hamilton. Here she grew to womanhood and united with the M. E. church at the age of 16. During 28 years in Ohio. 1872-1900, a member of the United Brethen in Christ.
In the spring of 1860 she was united in marriage to Isaac Firestone, who later became a veteran of the Civil war. They began housekeeping on a farm in Franklin township, DeKalf county, Ind. In the spring of 1872 they moved to a farm in Northwest Ohio from whence they moved to Hamilton in the spring of 1900 and there continued to reside until her demise.
To this union wer born eight childre. Anna Stickney, Monpelier, Ohio; Dora Headly, Edon, Ohio; William S. Firestone, Dalhart, Texas; George S. Firestone, Mongomery, Mich.; Timothy D. Firestone, Hannibal, Mo.; Mary Swinehart and Cora Mocherman, of Hamilton, Ind.
She is survived by her father, William H. Dirrim, three brothers; Robert R.; William S. and Timothy H. and by three sisters; Mary E. Goudy, Crissy Dirrim and Caroline Hammond; and by twenty-seven grand children and two great grandchildren.
She was a loving wife, a good neighbor and faithful to every trust committed to her. We shall miss her but she has gone to join the company of loved ones gone before and enjoy the life eternal.
Funeral services were held at the M. E. church Sunday afternoon, conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. O. Campbell. Interment was made in the Hamilton cemetery.
