My Davis line originates (so far) with Lewis Hawkins Davis, b. 1797 in Windsor, VT. The family also lived in Fort Wayne IN and in the Lewis County area of Washington State. I have quite a bit of information on the family after they settled in what was then the Washington Territory. There is an outline below of his descendants.

Jeremiah J. Duffy's ancestry is unknown except that he was born in Ireland. The information that I have pertains mainly to the family after they settled in Del Norte County, CA. I also have information on the Crawford descendants (his wife's second husband). Descendant outline is posted below.

This Richert (or Reichert) line originates in Odelshofen, Baden, Germany. They immigrated in the mid-1830s, some settling in Cincinnatti, OH, and others moving on to Northern California. Associated names include Reibel, Marhoffer, Goehring, Hartman, Hurst, and Farbach. Most common given names were Jacob, John, George, William, Barbara, and Mary. Lots of info on this one, but not posted yet.

Terrence Scanlon, native of Ireland, was a coal miner in Schuylkill Co., PA, killed in the mines 17 August 1883. He was married to Margaret E. Loftus (Laughtis?). their children were Mary Jane, Fedelia, Catherine, Margaret Ann, Sylvina Viola, William, and George. Sometime after Terrence's death, Margaret moved to Seattle, WA, where she married John Morris 24 January 1888. Some of the children used the Morris name.

George Washington Marshall was born in 1836 in IL and died in Gallatin County, Montana, in the late 1800s. His parents were both from Wisconsin. He was supposedly married to a woman named Sarah A. who was of Blackfoot Indian ancestry. Their children were George Jr.(b. 1879 Carson City, NV), Rosa P. (b. 1881 Wyoming), Walter (b. 1885 Montana), and Frank R.(b.1889 Montana). George Jr. married Evelyn Winifred Haggerty and produced George Cecil Marshall (b. 12 July 1912, Maudlow, MT) and Chester Dale Marshall (b. 10 February 1918, Gallatin County, MT). They divorced(?) in 1919. Chester (Chet)later changed his name legally to Raymond, that of his stepfather, George Raymond.
