My Grandfather Paul Whipple Vause passed away never knowing his family roots. He searched for years but was unable to make THE connection. He passed away and now I would love to make the connection, FOR HIM. He was born on May 17, 1910 in Jersey City, NJ to a John Certolzy and Cornelia Catherine "Edwards" Vause. We have a list of 6 siblings: Florence 1897, Raymond 1898, Mildred 1901, Grace 1903, Herbert 1905, and Cornelia Ruth 1907. Cornelia Catherine passed away when Grandad was 3, on December 23, 1913. John died September 6, 1914, both he and Cornelia are buried in Brooklyn NY at THE EVERGREENS CEMETARY. The children were then taken by Childrens Home Society and split up. Grandad (Paul) was sent to Maryland and put in Foster care. He was raised by foster families and tried the rest of his days to find his "Roots". John Certolzy Vause was born on March 22, 1863 in Boston to a Robert Col??? and Narcissus "Jackson" Vause in Boston, MA???? (not sure on that fact). Cornelia was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 24, 1870.
These are the details we have and if anyone out there can help, I would appreciate it very much. Grandad did find his siblings, but He was never able to find out anything more about his parents.
