1. George Edward Steadman, born November 26, 1896 in McKean, PA; died July 16, 1969 in Erie, PA (buried in St. John's Cemetery-Girard, PA). He was the son of 2. Arby L. Steadman and 3. Margaret Ann Blair. He married (1) Virginia Harriett France June 08, 1935 in St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, McKean, PA. She was the daughter of Henry Grant France and Mary Evelyn Barrett.

Notes for George Edward Steadman:
He served in World War I in the US Army as a Private. He served in France and received an Hororable Discharge on July 10, 1919.

George was buried in New Edinboro Cemetery in July 1969. When his wife Virginia died in February of 1992, they would not open the cemetery for burial, therefore his daughters had their mother buried in St. John's Cemetery in Girard, Pa and made arrangements to have his body exhumed as soon as the weather would permit and moved to St. John's Cemetery in Girard, Pa. to rest beside their mother.

George died of Bronchogenic carcinoma in the Buffalo Veterans Hospital.

George also had a heart murmur.
