The Rebosura name is uncommon and surely whoever has that name can claim to be a part of this clan. The name is no doubt of Philippine ancestry. Some say that the origin is from Bohol. Though others claim from Mindanao or Bicol or Luzon. No matter where they came from the objective of this home page is to develop a bond that will unite this family and possibly discover its roots and history. The Fortich name on the other hand is likewise uncommon. One having that name could be a blood relative. This foreign sounding name has its roots in Europe particularly Spain and Portugal. How they came to the Philippines one could surmise as "conquistadores" or "encomienderos", intermarrying the natives in the islands. The Fortich-Rebosura name is a product of the union of Higinio Rebosura, Sr. and Soledad Fortich. Hence, this family book reaching as far as who the Rebosuras and the Fortich are in those by-gone days and the future ahead. |
