Mary Jane Frazee Recknor died at 59 years of age and looked old at this age. She died of "torpid liver". She and husband Jesse came to Ford County and homesteaded. When Mary Jane died, she was buried in Ford County, Maple Grove Cemetery on a very hot day. Jesse then returned to Iowa with the family. Rosa Anna remained as she had married a neighbors son, William Henry Pottoroff. [JDArch.FTW]

According to family stories related by James R. Sassaman, Jessie D. Recknor's Father's parents were both born in Maryland. Mary J. Frazee's Father was supposed to have been born in New Jersey, and her Mother was supposed to have been born in Maryland.
