Thomas Nutter WHITEOAK, in uniform as a Sergeant in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (1914-18). Thomas later served with the Russia White Expeditionary Force, before emigrating to the USA in 1923. He died in Rhode Island, where he had married Alice FIRTH in 1928. Thomas was another uncle to Tom WHITEOAK, who sent the picture.
