The Redemer Family Home Page

Updated September 5, 2000

Michael D. Redemer

9 Keeler Place

Ridgefield, CT 06877

Ancestors of the Redemer family that are of intererst included John Farrington Buckner who was born in North Carolina in the early 19th century. He is believed to have been a "cousin" of Simone B. Buckner, a Civil War General for the Confederacy and a former Governor of Kentucky. Although we have been unable to establish the linkage.

Also any information on the Redemer family also spelled "Reedimer" or "Redimer" who emigrated from Prussia or Germany around the middle of the 19th century and settled in Springfield, Illinois and later in Oklahoma

Also the Holmes/Francis/Redman families of in the Farquier County Virginia and Ohio area in the 18th and 19th centuries. They are all believed to have been from England.

Other families of interest are are the Shipp's and Shipley's who emigrated from Arkansas to California in the late 19th century.

I would appreciate any information on these families and be willing to share what I have.
