I am researching several lines of ancestors with most of my information on the Redden, Turnbull, Hussey, Byram, Updegraff, Gilpin, Haseltine/Hazelton, Barbour and Solyom lines. I am also looking for famous ancestors and cousins. I have one ancestor who was an original Minuteman when the first shots were fired in the revolution on 19 April, 1775. He was also at the Battle of Bunker Hill. I have one ancestor who invented the "direct process" of making steel and was the first to successfully produce quality steel in the US. One who founded the Homestead Steel Works only to have Carnagie try to ruin his buisiness then buy out all his partners and cause him to die of a heart attack. I have seven direct ancestors who were passengers on the Mayflower in 1620. My famous cousins include Signers of the Declaration of Independence John Adams and Samuel Adams (the brewer); presidents John Adams, John Quincy Adams, Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford; statesman Daniel Webster; and the 50's actor/cult figure James Dean.Although every attempt has been made to post the most accurate information I can. These pages are not intended simply as a source for others to use for their own genealogy but rather as a way to meet distant cousins who are researching the same lines. By getting together and pooling our research and resources much progress can be made. For this reason I have included sections of my tree that I have not thouroughly researched yet. Please get in touch with me if you find any errors or have any additions.
