I am researching the Nils (Pedersen) Sather Family from Vinger, Hedmark, Norway (near the Swedish border). He came from the Saeterengen Farm in Vinger were his parents (Peder Olsen and Anne Marie Amundsdatter)and brothers (Bernth and Ole Pedersen)stayed behind while he emigrated to the United States. He also had three sisters named Maria, Marthea, and Pauline <Pedersdatter>. They also emigrated to the United States.

Nils settled in Chimney Rock, Trempealeau County, Wisconsin in 1870. He had a farm which he worked during the warmer months, then he would work as a lumberjack in Eau Claire during the winter months. He married Anna Marie Olson in Eau Claire in 1874 and they had 10 children of which 7 survived. (Martin, Peder, Anton, Tilda, Lena, Bertha and Pauline). I am also trying to trace Anna Olson's lineage. I know she had a brother named Anton Olson.

My great grandfather was Peder Sather. He was married to Selma Larson. Selma had two brothers named Isaac and Olaf. I am very interested to find out the Larson lineage as well.

I also have a Swedish side that I am researching. Carl Johan Ahlberg came from Vastergotland, Norra Vanga Parish, Sweden. Carl married Maria Larson and settled in New London, Minnesota.
Carl and Maria had 5 children (Esther, Oscar, Victor, Fred and Ellen).

I am more than willing to share any other information that I have so far.
