Ezekel Ekleberry, P.O. Alum Creek, was born in Fairfield City, Ohio, is the fourth child of Jacob and Elizabeth Whitman. Jacob was born June 9, 1799 and came west when a lad, and , after a residence of 20 years in Muskingum City, moved to Fairfield City where he remained until the year 1834 when he settled in this city.
He was about 7 when his Parents located in this township where he lived until 1870 when he moved to Delaware, remaining until his death.
Ezekiel was married to Julia Ann Elderblute, after Thier marriage they lived in Berlin Twp. place of abode on the Homestead and there they remained. They were blessed with ten Children
Mrs. Ekleberry has 130 acres of land.
