I am currently continuing to research two main families. They are the REEVES and the JONES Family.
The REEVES Family that I have been tracing has been traced back many generations but, the man that I'm most interested in is named George Washington Reeves. He was born in South Carolina in 1831 and lived in Granville County, North Carolina. He moved to Alabama between 1850 and 1860 and fought in the Civil War. He was in Birmingham, Alabama in 1869, but his day and place of death as well as grave location is unknown. He & his wife, Eliza Coffee are known to have also lived in Colbert & Morgan County in Alabama. The only two sons of George, that I know about, are named Henry Evert Oscar Reeves and John L. Reeves.

The JONES Family that I am tracing has been traced to a man named John Gilbert Jones who was from Jackson(or Haywood) County, North Carolina. He was born in 1821 and died in February 1915. He fought in the Civil War for the Confederacy. He lived in Alabama and later moved to Arkansas where he died. His wife's name is believed to be Mary H. Ashe (maybe Maria. Very little is known of her. Especially, her dates of birth & death as well as burial location are still unknown.
