We are researching a number of different surnames in the United States (mostly in Nebraska, North and South Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi), Ireland, Scotland, England, Germany, and Denmark. Some lines have been traced back to the American Revolution; some further; some only go back a generation or two.
The family names on Cheri's side are: Bailey, Bohnert, Gatlin, Miller, Mullin(s), Reeves, Simmons, Smith, Sutton, Thacker, Tousgaard, Walker, Wells, Williams.

Ike's family names are: Beal, Brimer (Brymer), Cannaday (Cannady)Cook, Dodd, Fox, Hill, Long, Reeves, Turner.

We would love to share information with others about these families and are always looking for more.

Specifically, on Cheri's side, we are trying to discover the parents and birthplace of Thomas Wells (supposedly born in Ireland in 1747) who died in Abbeville, SC, in 1791. He was married to Ann(e) Bailey, daughter of Nathaniel and Jean Bailey, originally from Ulster, Ireland. We are also looking for any information on Anne Bailey Wells' siblings, most of whom seem to have dropped of the face of the earth! We have recently found information regarding brother James' descendants thanks to cousins Jacque Otts of AL, and Elmer and Henry Bailey of TX.

On Ike's side, we are trying to trace his paternal Reeves ancestors past Glenn William Reeves. We have recent information from a cousin, Ralph Reeves, that suggests his father's name was Thomas Reeves and his mother's name was Mary Haufman; however, we are seeking further information on his father's family as some of the dates of birth and marriage do not appear to be correct.

If anyone has any information on any of these families, please feel free to contact us.
