The Reedy Family from Tipperrary to America

Updated January 26, 2006

This site is a catalog of the descendants of William? and Honora? Reedy who traveled out of famine ravaged Ireland in the 1840's-1850's to a better life in Ohio and Illinois in America. Their roots took hold and their descendants and spouses now number at least 1700 people. (Yes, we were very prolific.)

When viewing the inter-tree below: TO VIEW THE ENTIRE TREE TYPE F ON YOUR KEYBOARD TO VIEW A LIST OF INDIVIDUALS FIND WILLIAM? REEDY AND SELECT HIM AS THE PRIMARY INDIVIDUAL. For security, information on living individuals or persons with date of death unknown are listed as private.

I would appreciate the submission of photos, electronic copies of family history or reference materials. Due to the limitations of this site I am unable to attach a well researched work The Long Road from Tipperary- The Reedy and Kyte families in America by Sue Daniel. Email me and I will send you the book. Also there may be family members who are not listed either through oversight, lack of data or they were born after publication. Please forward any information on individuals not included. This family tree is the result of many people's work. Thanks to Betty McCarthy, Leo Reedy, June Reedy and Susan Jallings Daniel. Their work collecting, researching and recording the history of our family will be recieved with gratitude for many generations. If you spot errors please notify me.
