Searching for Manuel Zulinakis who came from Crete, Greece in 1888 and settled in Bayou La Batre, Alabama. He had his name changed to Peters after settling in the U. S. His wife, Louisa Georgina Nicholas Peters was born in Mobile, Alabama.
His children were, Sophie Ailene Peters, Irene Peters, Katie Peters, Zephia Peters, Mitchell Peters, George Peters, John Peters Sr., Bersia Jane Peters, & Nicholas Peters.
Emanuel Zulinakis came to America with Mr Patronas as a young man, possibly in his late teens, He lived at Dauphin Island Al., Bayou-la-Batre, and at one time lived on Cedar St. Biloxi Ms.
Louisa Nicholas's parents were George Nicholas and Bursia Jane Goff. They were married at Dauphin Island Cove on June 23,1891.
Emanuel was a boatbuilder, some of his boats were "St.John", "St. Nicholas", the "Louisa", the "Echo", and the "Reha". Any information on the location or disposition of any of these boats would be appreciated.
