Deed  number 0001 dated 1787

This Indenture made this 13th day of August in the Year of our Lord one 
thousand seven hundred and eighty seven between Peter Robeson esquire, of the county 
of Bladen in the State of North Carolina of the one part and Harris Spears of the county 
of Robeson and the State aforesaid of the other part
WHITNESSETH, the the said Peter Robeson, Esq. for and in consideration of the sum of 
fifty pounds, current money of the Aforesaid State to him in hand paid by the said Harris 
Spear, at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents, the receipt and full 
payment whereof is hereby acknowleged, Hath given Grantee bargain, sell al---, en--off, 
convey, Transfer and confirm, unto him the aforesaid Harris Spear, his heirs and assigns 
forever a Certain piece parcel or tract of Land, situate in the aforesaid county of 
Robeson containing one hundred acres, lying and being in Saddle Tree Swamp,
