Document Number: 0025 Deed of Land dated 1813 Made in the fourth day of May in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirteen between Duncan MacAlpin, of the county of Robeson, in the State of North Carolina, Attorney in Fact for Mary Dubois and Nicholas Dubois, Executors, of the Last Will and Testament of Abraham Dubois, dc. of the City of Philadelphia and Commonwealth of Pennsylva, of one part, and Donald McEachern of the county of Robeson aforesaid of the other Part: Whitnesseth, That the said Duncan MacAlpin, Attorney as aforesaid, for and in Consideration fo the sum of two dollars and twenty five cents to him, in hand paid, or secured to be paid by said Donald McEachern at and before the ensealing and delivery of these Presents have given, granted, bargained, and sold unto said Donald McEachern his Heirs and Assigns forever, all that Tract or parcel of land; lying and beint in the county of Robeson, containing by estimation eleven Acres, on the S.W. side of Saddle Tree Swamp, Beginning at a pine his own and Archibald McPhail's corner, on the upper side of a small Bay and runs as McPhail's line North fourty five West Ten chains and fifty links, to a stake in the head of a Drain of Ratan Branch, then along the middle of that Drain to the run of said Branch Thomas Humphreys line, then along the run of the said Branch and Humphreys Line to his own line, Then South fifty one West as that Line direct to the Beginning. Being part of a Tract of 34,300 acres, granted to David Allison, Esq. by Patent No. 1233 dated at Newbern, the ____ day of June in the year of our Lord, 1795: Which piece or parcel of land, together with all members, heridetaments and appurtenances to the same belonging, or in any wise appertaining the said Duncan McAlpin, Attorney as aforesaid, for himself, his heirs and assigns: doth covenant and agree to and with said Donald McEachern heirs and assigns, that the said Tract of land to said Donald McEachern his heirs and assigns, against all claims of the State; from the claims of the foregoing Grantee as also from the claims of the Heirs and Devisees of said Abraham Dubois, dec. or any person claiming by from or under them.
